THE GOOD HAIRCARE ROUTINE
A self love ritual

BE GENTLE
The scalp is a living, responsive system, and the strands are a delicate assembly of inanimate, viscoelastic biomaterial that does not self-repair or regenerate once damaged.
Treat both with care.
BREAK UP WITH SULFATE SURFACTANTS & SILICONES
Sulfate surfactants (like SLS/SLES/SCS) are strong detergents that clean too well, stripping not only dirt and excess oil, but necessary lipids and proteins, disrupting the skin's acid mantle and microbiome, and compromising the skin barrier in the process.
Hydrophobic silicones love-bomb your hair with shine, only to ghost you with buildup that moisture and conditioning agents cannot penetrate, eventually leaving your hair dry, dull and weighed down.
Eject the sulfate and silicone-fuelled bottles loitering on your bathroom shelf, upgrade to our unapologetically indulgent sulfate-free shampoo and silicone-free conditioner, and let the benefits speak for themselves.

RENASCENCE SHAMPOO
Balancing Wash
1. Brush your hair to detangle before wetting the hair. To avoid breakage and cuticle damage, start detangling from the tips, not from the roots.
2. Wet your hair thoroughly with lukewarm water. Lukewarm water supports effective cleansing without drying out scalp and strands.
3. Adjust amount of shampoo according to volume, length and texture of your hair. Note that a little Renascence Shampoo goes a long way.
4. Lather the shampoo in your palms before applying to your scalp. Focus on massaging your scalp (where sebum and dirt build up), not the ends. Be gentle when massaging to avoid damaging your hair.
5. Rinse your hair thoroughly with lukewarm water, ensuring all foam is removed.
6. We recommend double shampooing. Washing twice keeps your scalp clean for longer and enhances the shampoo’s benefits.
7. Two-three washes a week is perfectly civilised and enough for most hair/scalp types to stay clean and balanced.
WATER TEMPERATURE
As cathartic as a steaming hot shower is for the soul, it is far less ideal for the hair. Hot water causes excessive hair shaft swelling, aggressively lifting the cuticle layers and making strands vulnerable to dryness, frizz, and breakage.
Use lukewarm water, which is gentler and supports effective cleansing without compromising the structural integrity of the hair.

REDEMPTION CONDITIONER
Moisture Infusion
1. Gently blot your hair with a soft towel post cleanse; to avoid diluting the conditioner.
2. Adjust amount of conditioner according to volume, length and texture of your hair. Apply the conditioner from the mid-lengths to the tips, or from the roots to the tips, as desired. The uniquely lightweight formula can also be applied to the scalp and roots without leaving hair greasy or weighed down.
3. To ensure even coverage, work around your hair in sections. Use your fingers to gently detangle without ripping or creating tension. Your hair is weakest when it’s wet, so raking a comb through your wet strands is never a good idea.
4. Leave the conditioner in for at least 1-3 minutes, allowing the ingredients to penetrate and deliver their benefits. Leave in for longer (5-10 minutes), if you have extra time or if your hair is damaged or very dry.
5. Rinse your hair thoroughly with lukewarm water and finish with cool water. Cold water helps to smooth and close the hair cuticle, making the hair shinier and less prone to frizz.
6. Towel-dry your hair by blotting it rather than rubbing; to avoid breakage and cuticle damage.
SCALP CARE
Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp. Skipping scalp serum is like skipping moisturiser because your skin “looks" fine. A well-nourished scalp is the foundation of strong growth, and resilient, vibrant hair.
Even if your scalp appears perfectly content, daily care is essential.
Scalp serum maintains balance, strengthens the skin barrier, improves hair growth, and prevents issues before they happen. A few drops a day can transform the future of your hair.

ANTIMATTER SCALP SERUM
Balance & Growth Support Complex
1. Use on a clean (dry or damp) scalp, allowing the serum to penetrate effectively without excess oil or dirt.
2. Squeeze the dropper and apply drops of serum directly onto your scalp all over or focus on areas of concern (thinning spots, dry patches or irritation).
3. After applying, use your fingertips to gently massage the serum into your scalp for 1–2 minutes. This increases blood circulation and ensures product distribution.
4. Do not rinse. Leave the serum to dry naturally or blow dry on a low heat setting. Whether you air dry or blow dry, the serum creates body and subtle lift at the roots.
5. Apply once daily, and allow at least 3 months of consistent, daily use before evaluating results. When desired results have been achieved, use 2-3 times a week to maintain effect.
ANTIOXIDANT PROTECTION
UV-radiation induces photochemical reactions in the hair, breaking down keratin, oxidising melanin, and degrading the lipid layer that protects the cuticles, collectively causing photo-yellowing, colour fade, lifted cuticles, porosity and dryness.
Once this damage is done, it cannot be reversed.
Wait not for the damage! The solution lies in daily antioxidant protection, intercepting damaging chemical reactions before they compromise the hair structure — preserving colour and structural integrity.

RESURGENCE BLOWOUT CRÈME
Daily Damage Protection
1. Adjust amount of crème according to hair length, texture and volume.
2. Distribute a light coating evenly on damp or dry hair, focussing on mid-lengths and ends.
3. On damp hair: Use daily before blow drying, styling with hot tools and before sun exposure.
4. On dry hair: Use daily to replenish hydration and refresh protection.
5. Finisher: Use a small amount to add definition or to smooth dry ends and tame fly-aways.
HEAT PROTECTION
Always use a heat protectant before heat-styling.
Resurgence Blowout Crème is your hair’s security detail when you heat-style, acting as a guard to prevent heat- and mechanical damage. The formula protects against heat damage up to 450°F/230°C. The formula does not protect against bad practises.
Respect the thermodynamics.

TENSION & MECHANICAL STRESS
Detangling & Tools
Raking a comb or brush straight from the scalp down creates friction, tangles, and mechanical stress along the hair shaft. This results in cuticle abrasion, strand breakage, and traction at the follicular root, weakening the anchoring structures over time.
Use your fingers, a soft brush (or a wide-tooth comb, if you must). Start at the ends and work your way up. Work in sections, if needed. Test your brush on your skin. If it feels rough on the skin, it’s too abrasive for your hair. Choose softer bristles to minimise mechanical damage.
Tight Hair Styles
Slick buns and ponytails are are chic until your follicles give up. Constant tension leads to breakage and traction alopecia (hair loss from tension), specially around the hairline where the hair structure and the hair anchoring are weakest.
Set your hair free (most of the time)!
